We asked Andrea some questions about her career in dentistry and what she enjoys when she isn’t working with patients at Frontier Dental:
- How did you first get interested in dentistry? — Andrea found she was fascinated by the connection between oral health and overall wellness, and dentistry helped her combine her passion for healthcare and helping others feel confident in their own skin. She has been a registered dental hygienist since 2014; she earned her AAS from Cuyahoga Community College and later pursued an MBA in Healthcare Management so she could better understand patient care and dental practice operations.
- What is your favorite thing about dentistry? — Andrea says that building long-term relationships with her patients is what she loves the most about her career. When patients take ownership of their oral health and go from feeling nervous to confident about dental visits, she knows she’s succeeding. For Andrea, it’s about more than cleaning teeth; it’s about making people feel heard and cared for.
- How has dental technology changed, and what advances are you most excited about? — Andrea admits that she has seen tremendous advancements in dental technology over the years. She credits digital radiographs, intraoral cameras and scanners, and ultrasonic scalers for making hygiene appointments more efficient. She’s especially excited about the newest AI-assisted diagnostics, as they will further improve early detection and patient education.
- What first drew you to Frontier Dental, and what sets them apart? — The high-quality, patient-centered care is what appealed to Andrea when she first visited Frontier Dental. She said she knew right away it wasn’t just another dental office. She witnessed patients receiving top-quality care from ethical professionals.
- What is your favorite part about working at Frontier Dental so far? — Andrea loves working alongside Dr. K and Anne and says that she truly enjoys going to work every day. She and the other team members enjoy talking with each other about their lives outside the office. Because of the positive energy and willingness to help each other, Andrea believes the team spirit at Frontier Dental is alive and well.
- What do you enjoy doing in your spare time? — When she isn’t busy helping others achieve better oral health, Andrea spends most of her time with her son. They enjoy roller coasters, glamping, boating, and all things outdoors. They love the summer months the most!
- Anything you would like future patients to know? — Andrea wants patients to know that she truly cares about their dental experience. She says, “I understand that coming to the dentist can be intimidating, so I always take time to listen, explain, and work at a pace that makes people feel comfortable. Whether it’s your first visit or fiftieth, I’m here to make your appointment as smooth and stress-free as possible.”
