We custom-design partial dentures for patients who do not need to replace all upper or lower teeth as a complete denture does. Partials are made out of acrylic, metal, or flexible resin, which has become more popular.
These are great options to replace several of your missing teeth if you cannot afford implants to replace the multiple. However, all remaining teeth must be in good condition and strong enough to hook clips and components in place and share the load of dentures with the gums.
Immediate dentures can be either complete or partial dentures. If we extract a single tooth and need to wait while you save up for a dental implant, an immediate denture is a very efficient and affordable option.
Due to changes in the mouth and jaws after tooth extraction, we will need to reline Immediate dentures several times to ensure a perfect fit and comfortable function. The more teeth we remove, the more relines we will need to perform.
Also, the condition of your teeth before extraction is critical. If your teeth are in bad shape, you will need another set of dentures when your gums are all healed up. This is our recommendation.
Fixed Hybrid Dentures Use Implants for Stability
Fixed hybrid dentures are a modern, state-of-the-art solution that has completely changed how prosthodontists approach replacing a full set of missing teeth.
These dentures, sometimes referred to as All-on-4® dentures are “fixed” because they are attached to dental implants anchored in the jawbone. Fixed hybrid dentures are acrylic with a metal core or framework for strength and rigidity, and you do not need to remove them at night.
To place a hybrid denture, we first need to place the implant and allow about four months for it to heal and integrate with the jawbone. The final fixed dentures are made after healing is complete.
Our flat-rate fee for hybrid dentures includes:
- Removing existing teeth and placing all implants, components, and parts
- Providing a set of temporary dentures on the day of surgery
- Placing the final restoration—typically a denture—three to four months after implant placement
Over the past decade, the success of fixed hybrid dentures has been scientifically proven and documented with favorable clinical outcomes and results.
Cosmetic Dentures Improve Facial Appearance Cosmetic Dentures
The aging process and loss of teeth can lead to a shortened face, which causes wrinkles because of a natural compression of facial features. With cosmetic dentures done by Dr. Karunagaran, we can help you resolve aesthetic concerns and avoid the common risks associated with more invasive procedures.
Cosmetic dentures can reduce some of the effects of aging, but they are often used in combination with cosmetic surgery. These dentures increase facial height and support and fill out the face to prevent a shrunken facial appearance.
